Every year, this climb reminds me just how much life can change.

On June 13, 2018, I suffered a traumatic brain injury that completely changed the course of my life. Over the following year, I underwent four brain surgeries, including a titanium cranioplasty. Recovery wasn’t quick, and it certainly wasn’t easy, but thanks to incredible doctors, family, friends, and organizations that support brain injury survivors, I was able to rebuild my life.

Today, I’m back to raising my three girls, building my businesses, and taking on challenges like climbing Pikes Peak. There was a time I wasn’t sure any of that would be possible, so I never take it for granted!

The Pikes Peak Challenge is especially meaningful to me because every dollar raised helps other brain injury survivors and their caregivers. A brain injury doesn’t just affect one person—it impacts an entire family – trust me! Ask mine!  The support, education, resources, and community these programs provide can make an enormous difference during one of the hardest seasons of someone’s life.

I’d be incredibly grateful for your support.  My goal every year is to raise $10,000 for this is effort and support of the Brain Injury Association of Colorado (BIAC).  Whether it’s $10, $25, or $100, every donation helps provide hope and practical assistance to survivors and the families walking beside them.

Looking forward to September and THANK YOU FOR READING!
