Imagine waking up in a different land, with people who speak a different language, and live a different life. Imagine the fear of learning to navigate through that unknown. That’s what many brave individuals take on every day. This is the face of those who fight through unimaginable mental and physical challenges. While no two brain injuries are the same, they do have a few things in common. They don’t fade or mend, they are always present, requiring brain injury survivors to navigate in a brand-new world as they fight to establish a new norm.
The Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado is the go-to resource for help and services for survivors of an injury to the brain, their families, and providers, through guidance, resources, support, and education. Brain injuries are so prevalent and so devastating to not only the individual who had the injury, but also their families.
Funding is critical for us to continue to support survivors.
I’m excited to share my commitment to participate in the 2019 Pikes Peak Challenge Virtual Challenge. Although I am not able to be in attendance on the day of the event, I would like to lend a hand of support and take on a hike of my own.
Please donate now and together we can make a huge impact for brain injury survivors and the entire brain injury community.
