Tomorrow September 7th, I will be hiking Pike’s Peak (MY FIRST 14er!!) to raise awareness and money to support the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado.
I was inspired to participate in the Pikes Peak Challenge and join Team Kumi by my dear friend, Donna Coto. Her friend, Kumi, was hit by a drunk driver during her Senior year of high school, and she has been living with a traumatic brain injury in a nursing home ever since. Donna’s unwavering love, support, compassion and loyalty is what will motivate me as I climb 13 miles, 7400 feet to the 14,115 feet summit. I am honored to be part of this humbling event.
