As a first time participant I am going to hike in support of the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado. Anyone associated with someone who has suffered a brain injury understands how fragile life really is. Along with my boyfriend Matt and his family, I will hike 13 miles and 7,400 vertical feet to the 14,110 foot summit of Pikes Peak. I admire this family for the loss they have suffered and yet continue to promote a positive and uplifting way of living.
This event raises awareness for the brain injury community while providing an amazing opportunity to participate in the 2018 Pikes Peak Challenge Summit Hike. I am excited to step out of my comfort zone and climb this beautiful mountain I admire daily, while supporting a good cause.
