Hi Friends and Family,
I am climbing Pikes Peak on September 8th to raise money for the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado (BIAC). I am supporting this organization because I’ve been lucky enough to get to know people with traumatic brain injuries. I also experienced a minor brain injury myself in the form of a serious concussion my Junior year of high school. I was lucky, and do not have life long disabilities. Some of these people cannot say the same.
The people I have met through my mom’s work with brain injury survivors are funny and kind hearted. I wish that they had what we have; more people caring about them. The programs funded through BIAC give them the support they need to improve their lives. Your donations show them that someone cares.
