As many of you know, I have spent the past year working with adults with traumatic brain injury. Every single day, my clients inspire me with their resilience. While it is my job to support and guide them to resources, I learn just as much or more from them as they do from me. They teach me that despite incredible hardships (for many of my clients, brain injury is one among many of their struggles), a better, more stable future is still possible; they teach me that no matter what we have endured, it’s still possible to have an open heart and to trust ourselves and those who care for us; they teach me that it’s a strength, not a weakness, to reach out for help and share our stories of struggle and triumph.

I am honored to work at the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado. We provide an essential source of hope and support for the state of Colorado, where over 500,000 are living with the effects of an injury to the brain.

I’m excited to share my commitment to participate in the 2017 Pikes Peak Challenge Summit Hike. When I finish, I will have hiked 13 miles to the 14,110 foot summit of Pikes Peak.  For me, participating in this challenge is about celebrating the incredible clients I work with every day and sharing the trail with survivors and their friends, family members, and providers as we all make our way to a more hopeful future.

Please donate now and help me and the Brain Injury Alliance of Colorado make a huge impact for adults and children with brain injury. Thank you for your time and support!
