I suffered a Brain Injury (TBI) in October of 2017. I will never forget the helplessness I felt at the time. I did the regular protocol, no screen time, no work, lots of sleep, just stillness. Despite these precautions, my TBI progressed. My career was thwarted because I forgot how to Teach Pilates, therefore, not being able to teach Pilates at my home and The Pilates Center in Boulder. Between my 13-year-old daughters' courageous spirit and caretaking abilities coupled with amazing Employers, I progressed BIT BY BIT BY doing Pilates. I fought just to learn how to cook again. The frustrations that people encounter and have to navigate life with Brain Injuries are horrific I am still after 5 years working on healing my brain. I do Neurofeedback, CSB, and, other Brain Modalities at ThinkOne The Behavior Design Specialist in Centennial Colorado. It is a Brain Spa, where I teach Pilates to all people with the intention of helping create Neuroplasticity. I focus on healing the mind, body, and soul. I also teach at The Pilates Center in Boulder.
The BIAC is an amazing resource with many different entities to help people heal. I am proud and honored to be able to participate in The Pikes Peak Summit Challenge and interact with all the other awesome hikers.
