On August 1, 2010, my daughter, Rachel, was in a horrendous t-bone auto accident resulting in a life changing traumatic brain injury. We were told Rachel probably would not survive. She was in a coma caused by the accident. As she came out of the coma and started to recover, we were told she may never talk, or walk again... She is amazing. With all the help from the wonderful doctors, nurses and therapists at MCR, Craig Hospital, a grant from the Brain Injury Alliance and CNS, Rachel is not only able to walk, but can ride her bike (with spills). She is not only able to talk but she has become fluent in French again and graduated from CSU with her French degree. She is truly amazing and her recovery journey continues every day and she continues to do great things and I know we are blessed to have her in our lives!
