My name is Kahra. I live in Parker, CO with my husband and our two daughters who are 19 and 17. Our oldest is a Sophomore at CSU and our youngest is a senior at Chaparral High School. I am a CO native and I bleed blue and orange! I am fur mom to the best golden retriever/lab mix in the world, Rascal.
I am a Registered Nurse at Denver Health and, before starting there, I was a Rehab Tech at Craig Hospital for 3.5 years which is what makes me so passionate about the TBI/SCI community. While working at Craig, I was forever changed and humbled as a person. To see what TBI/SCI patients and their families go through is unbelievable and inspiring. At Craig, I was able to build many incredible relationships with my patients and their families and I loved watching them progress throughout their recovery and seeing where they are years later. I am still in touch with many of these wonderful people today. I am so excited and honored to be able to participate in the Pikes Peak Challenge for the second time to help bring awareness to the amazing people who live with and have recovered from a Traumatic Brain Injury!!
