I am a TBI survivor. My accident happened on 6/21/2000. I am so blessed to have survived and be where I am at in my life. I have supportive family and friends. I have a career that I love, working at UCHealth as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner. I have created a TBI meetup group allowing me to meet so many other survivors, each with a unique story on how their life has been impacted by the result of their traumatic brain injury. I am a believer in Christ, and count my blessings everyday. I have many imperfections (Heather Quirks) as a result of the TBI, but am still able to run, bike, hike, ski, etc. I have supported BIAC every year since 2001. It takes rigorous dedication to make this event happen every year. I am grateful to the people who put in the many hours to make this event a reality, to you for reading my story, and to those who are able to support me financially. Many blessings to you, Heather
