I have been working with BIAC since August 2014. Through my time, I have had the pleasure of serving survivors of brain injury in many different capacities. My introduction into this work was with individuals involved in the justice system but, as I learned more, I realized I had been working with survivors across many sectors throughout my professional and personal life. Many of which were undiagnosed and untreated. Many were struggling.
At BIAC, we value the unique journey of each survivor. It can be a scary road and being their ally is an honor and a privilege that we don't take lightly. Their stories, needs, desires, and dreams matter to us. We use our resources carefully and make decisions thoughtfully in constant pursuit that all survivors could thrive in their community and that our role is meaningful.
