Pikes Peak Challenge Summit Hiker: Barton Helfet

I’m participating in the Pikes Peak Challenge Summit Hike for my good friend’s older brother Chad Smith. Chad suffered a traumatic brain injury in a horrific car accident just over 4 years ago. While his recovery has been nothing short of a miracle, he still requires 24-hour care. Chad continues to work hard at his rehabilitation center and his spirits have never been better, but he still has a long journey ahead of him before reaching his goal of “going home.”
