It's official. Just registered for my fourth Pikes Peak Challenge. Why would you hike 13 miles and 7,400 vertical feet four times? Two important reasons: Bruce and Kay. Their life stories have been impacted by Traumatic Brian Injuries (TBI). Pikes Peak Challenge raises money for Brain Injury Awareness. Bruce, my brother-in-law, is a survivor of TBI. He is disabled and lives in Colorado. Kay, my sister, saved her husband's life & has been loyal & lovingly by his side ever since. She is my hero.
